- Every materials claim is checked against a current supplier statement, not a remembered one.
- Regulatory claims — hallmarking, nickel restriction, vermeil definitions — are checked against the current rule in the relevant market and dated.
- Care advice is tested on scrap before it is recommended.
- Any figure we publish about our own practice is checked against records.
Reporting an error

Materials claims are treated as urgent
If a claim about what a piece is made of turns out to be wrong, we correct the page, contact anyone who bought on the strength of it, and offer a return. That is a stronger commitment than a correction note, and it is the appropriate one for a claim that affects a purchase.
What is not a correction
Disagreement about whether recycled silver is meaningfully better than mined silver is a matter of interpretation. We publish our reasoning and will publish a contrary view; we will not treat it as an error.
