Sustainability From an Architect’s Perspective

My background in green building has deeply shaped how I approach jewelry design. For over a decade, I worked with rigorous standards to certify eco-friendly buildings—evaluating every step, from where materials come from and how they’re produced, to the travel distance for each component and the life cycle of the final product.

That same mindset guides my decisions here: each ingredient is carefully considered, from its origin and manufacturing process to its impact on the environment after its useful life.

Recycled & Reclaimed Materials

I carefully source recycled silver, reclaimed sea glass, pebbles, plastics. Even recycled pearls—often handpicked from local pawn shops, where I can verify authenticity and give these pearls a second life.

By repurposing these materials, I reduce the demand for newly mined resources and keep valuable objects out of landfills.

If certain chains or findings aren’t available in recycled silver, I opt for locally made silver components to lower my carbon footprint while supporting small-scale producers.

Handcrafted, Small-Batch Production

All my pieces are made by hand in limited batches. This slower, artisanal approach ensures close attention to detail and avoids the excess typical of mass production. Fewer items made also translates to lower energy use and less waste.

Eco-Friendly Techniques

I use traditional goldsmith methods like lost wax casting, combined with soldering practices that rely on less-toxic fluxes. Any leftover scraps are melted down and reused, minimizing waste and maximizing the life cycle of every resource.

Thoughtful Design & Longevity

Drawing inspiration from nature’s organic forms, I design each piece to be timeless rather than trend-driven. A well-crafted piece extends its lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacements and limiting the overall environmental impact.

Conscious Packaging

Every piece is protected with natural fiber padding and packaged in cotton or jute bags. I manually stamp all branding materials with eco-friendly inks, and rely on recycled boxes and paper to further decrease waste—while still offering a thoughtful unboxing experience.

Local Sourcing & Green Transport

I work with local suppliers whenever possible to cut down on shipping emissions and support the surrounding community.

I also rely on public transport or my bike for errands and material pickups, reducing CO₂ output and keeping my process as gentle on the planet as I can.

Closing Note

My mission is to create unique, sustainable jewelry that sparks deeper connections—with nature, with our own values, and with the stories we carry. Every piece reflects a commitment to mindful choices and a gentler way of living on this earth.
